No, this is not an April Fool’s bad joke – this really is a 6.2-litre V8 super saloon packing 518bhp launched amid the credit crunch. Welcome to the Mercedes E63 AMG. Right, with 518bhp and 465lb ft, enough to match up with the XFR’s 503bhp and 461lb ft.
It looks like the impressive Lexus LF-LC Concept is heading for production as Lexus tries to inject some sportiness in to their brand. The stunning Lexus LF-LC Concept we saw at the Detroit Motor Show in January was certainly the most impressive Lexus concept for some time, although Lexus made it clear it was just a showcase of what their US designers were capable of envisaging. But we thought at the time that the LF-LC had potential as a proper halo coupe for Lexus (ignoring the stand-alone, madly priced LFA) that could be brought to market as an LS Coupe – the Lexus LC, perhaps?
Ford is holding a contest to get drivers interested in the new Focus ST--as if we weren't already. Ford will have driving simulators at this year's auto shows, and the person who records the fastest time will get a trip to ESPN's summer X Games. Those interested can follow the leaders at Ford's Facebook page, where all of the lap times and info will be posted.
